Honey Butter Rolls

Serves 12
Light, Fluffy, and Buttery Sweet.
Ingredients:
1 cup 2% milk |
3 tablespoons unsalted butter |
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
3 1/8 cup bread flour |
For Honey Butter: |
3 tablespoons honey |
3 tablespoons salted butter |
Directions:
- Add the milk and butter to a microwave safe bowl. Place into the microwave and heat for 45 seconds.
- Pour the milk-butter mixture into a large mixing bowl. Add the yeast, honey, sugar, salt, and egg to the bowl Whisk together.
- Add bread flour. Knead the dough until slightly sticky.
- Coat a second large mixing bowl with cooking spray. Transfer the dough to the second bowl. Cover with a towel and let rise for at least 1 hour until dough has doubled in size.
- Flour a working surface. Roll dough into a long tube, then cut tube into 12 pieces. Roll the pieces into a ball.
- Place the dough balls on a large baking dish. Cover and let rise for another hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- While rolls are baking, Stir together the salted butter and honey in a bowl. Set aside.
- Remove rolls from the oven. Spread the honey butter over the tops of the rolls.
- Separate the rolls. Distribute amongst the serving plates and enjoy!
