Texas-Style French Toast





Serves 6
This breakfast favorite just got even better.
Ingredients:
| 12 slices Texas toast | 
| 12 eggs, whisked | 
| 2 tablespoons butter | 
| 1/4 cup milk | 
| 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon | 
| 2 teaspoons vanilla extract | 
| Maple syrup, for topping, optional | 
| Powdered sugar, for topping, optional | 
Directions:
- Place butter in a large skillet. Bring to medium heat to melt butter.
 - Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
 - Place a slice of Texas toast in the egg mixture. Dunk and coat evenly. Repeat with remaining Texas toast slices.
 - Place two slices of Texas toast in the skillet at a time. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown then flip.
 - Transfer French toast to serving plates. Drizzle on maple syrup and top with powdered sugar.
