Ginger Cranberry Sauce

The tastiest way to spice up Thansgiving dinner.
Ingredients:
1 red onion, finely diced |
1 tablespoon minced ginger |
6 tablespoons orange zest |
1 lb fresh cranberries |
1 cup fresh orange juice |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
Salt, to taste |
Black pepper, to taste |
Canola oil, for cooking |
Directions:
- Coat a saucepan with canola oil, bring to medium heat. Once hot, saute the red onions, ginger and orange zest for 3 minutes.
- Add the cranberries, orange juice, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Simmer for 30 minutes until very soft.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy.
