Ginger Cranberry Sauce

Serves 8

The tastiest way to spice up Thansgiving dinner.

Ingredients:

1 red onion, finely diced
1 tablespoon minced ginger
6 tablespoons orange zest
1 lb fresh cranberries
1 cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Canola oil, for cooking

Directions:

  1. Coat a saucepan with canola oil, bring to medium heat. Once hot, saute the red onions, ginger and orange zest for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the cranberries, orange juice, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Simmer for 30 minutes until very soft.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy.
