French Onion Sandwiches





Serves 2
Deliciously simple and totally satisfying.
Ingredients:
| 2 tablespoons butter | 
| 4 beef cubed steaks | 
| 1 onion, sliced and separated into rings | 
| 1 cup beef broth | 
| 1 tablespoon cornstarch | 
| 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce | 
| 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder | 
| Ground black pepper, to taste | 
| 4 slices French bread, toasted | 
| 2 slices Swiss cheese | 
Directions:
- In a large skillet melt butter. Add steaks and cook over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or till done. Remove from skillet, reserving drippings.
 - Cook onion in drippings till tender. Combine broth, cornstarch, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl. Add seasoning mix to skillet. Cook and stir till bubbly.
 - Place steaks on bread. Top with cheese and onion mixture.
